We are a family-run plumbing and heating firm based in Cwmbran, twelve years in, working across Torfaen and the rest of South Wales. Everything below is done by the same Gas Safe registered engineers — we do not subcontract the gas work out.
Boilers
The bulk of what we do. Boiler repair when it has stopped, usually same day; boiler servicing once a year to keep the warranty valid and catch the things that become breakdowns; and boiler installation when mending it stops making sense. On a repair you will get the honest number either way — some boilers are worth mending and some are not, and we will tell you which one you have got.
Heating and controls
Heating upgrades for systems that have stopped keeping up, radiator installation where a room has never been warm enough, powerflushing when the sludge in the system is the actual problem, and smart control installation if you want to stop heating an empty house. Powerflushing is worth saying something honest about: it is sold far more often than it is needed. Cold-at-the-bottom radiators usually do want one. A single cold radiator usually just wants balancing.
Plumbing and bathrooms
General plumbing for the taps, toilets, valves and stopcocks that fail quietly, leak call-outs when something has failed loudly, and bathroom design and installation when the room needs doing properly rather than patching. A leak behind a wall or under a floor is the one to ring about immediately rather than watching for a week.
Where we work
Cwmbran and Pontypool are on the doorstep and we cover the whole of Torfaen daily. Beyond that we are regularly in Newport, Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouth, Abergavenny, Cardiff, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil. Distance affects how fast we can be there, not whether we will come.

Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes — Gas Safe registration number 630601, which you can check yourself at gassaferegister.co.uk. Any engineer working on gas in the UK must be on that register by law. We also hold G3 for unvented cylinders, plus BPEC and WRAS, and we are a BAXI approved installer.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
We give you the cost before we start, not after we finish. What a job costs depends on what is wrong and what it needs, so we would rather look at it and tell you a real number than quote a fee over the phone that turns out to be wrong.
How quickly can you get to an emergency?
We aim to be with you within two hours on same-day call-outs. No heating or no hot water is not something that should wait until next week, and a live leak certainly is not. Ring the mobile rather than emailing if it is urgent.
Do you offer finance on a new boiler?
Yes, finance is available on new boiler installations, and new boilers carry manufacturer warranties of up to ten years. We can price a boiler in a couple of minutes using the quote tool, or come and look at the property if the job is not straightforward.
