What happens when you ring

You get one of us, not a call centre and not an answering service. We will ask what the fault is, what the boiler is doing, and where you are — and in a lot of cases we can tell you on the phone whether it is something you can sort yourself in five minutes or something we need to come out for. If it is the first, we will say so, and it will not cost you anything.

What to have ready

It speeds things up considerably if you can tell us the make and model of the boiler — it is usually on a sticker on the front or inside the flap — and any fault code showing on the display. If there is water coming through a ceiling, turn the stopcock off before you ring, and if it is anywhere near lights or sockets, kill that circuit at the consumer unit and leave it off.

Emergencies

We run a same-day call-out service and aim to be with you within two hours. No heating, no hot water, or a leak — ring us, do not fill anything in.

What same-day actually means

We are based in Cwmbran, so most of Torfaen is fifteen or twenty minutes away and two hours is a comfortable promise rather than an optimistic one. Cardiff, Bridgend and Merthyr are a longer run and we will be straight with you about timings when you call rather than saying yes and turning up at eight in the evening. If we cannot get to you today we will tell you that on the phone.

Parking and access

The van is a long-wheelbase Transit and we carry parts and tools in and out, so somewhere to park within reach of the front door genuinely helps. If you are on a terrace with permit parking or a shared lane, mention it when you book and we will plan around it. We will need access to the boiler, and to the stopcock and the meter on most jobs.

Weekends

Saturday 9am to 3pm. Sunday 10am to 2pm.
